#ClearOut4Kids

At KC Communications, going that extra mile on behalf of our clients is something which comes naturally to us. We’re always looking for different ways to raise our clients profile and when it comes to our charity clients there’s always lots of other ideas on the agenda too!

Having recently been appointed by local charity, Yorkshire Children’s Centre to increase awareness via a PR and marketing strategy, we’ve learnt so much about what they offer the local community and we wanted to find a way to give something back and ensure they continue to reach those most at need in our community – young and old alike.

Established forty years ago with the objective of finding solutions to address complex social problems, YCC deliver a variety of projects and services to support children, young people, families and older people in local communities across the region.

With recent cuts announced to child services budgets across the Kirklees region, we’re sure you would agree that it’s increasingly vital that charities such as Yorkshire Children’s Centre continue to operate and provide the community with services that support children and families in need.

Introducing #ClearOut4Kids!

If, like us, you’re already thinking about that pre-Christmas clear out but can’t face driving around with charity bags in your boot for weeks on end then we have a suggestion to make the clear out much easier.

Over the next month our office at the Heritage Exchange complex in Lindley will be a collection point for donations of unwanted items such as clothing, shoes, toys and other household items*. These will then be collected by Yorkshire Children’s Centre to distribute across their six Pass It On Shops and online stores to help raise vital funds to support this outstanding charity.

For those based in the Heritage, watch out for collection bags in your pigeon holes, please fill them up and either return to our office (in the main business centre) or the Heritage reception. For anyone else that would like to support this initiative please bag up your items and drop them in to the Heritage reception and they will pass on to us.

We really appreciate your support, as we are well aware there are so many worthy causes all vying for your attention.

*If you have large or bulky items you would like to donate, such as furniture, please contact YCC directly on 0300 800 0038 and they will collect for free.
