KC Communications Managing Director invited to speak at the prestigious Inspiring Entrepreneurs: Marketing Maestros event in October.
After a little over 2 years offering various marketing services to local and regional businesses ranging from security services to brass band competitions, our very own Managing Director, Katrina Cliffe, has been invited to be the guest speaker at the renowned “Inspiring Entrepreneurs” event with the subject theme of “Marketing Maestros” on Tuesday 18th October. The event which will be held in the Business and IP Centre at Leeds Central Library is part of a national event hosted by the BIPC Network at the British Library.
Not only will Katrina be observed by a number of guests at the event in Leeds, a speaker panel will be live streamed from the British Library in London seating the likes of Patrick Drake, the co-founder of the home delivery meal-kit service ‘Hello Fresh’ and Jessica Seaton, co-founder of clothing and homeware designer and retailer “Toast”. Award winning journalist and broadcaster Nadine Dereza will moderate the event which will include a live Q&A via both a twitter feed and video link.
The Marketing Maestros event will see Katrina elaborating on her entrepreneurial journey, from leaving school and gaining an apprenticeship, to travelling the world for a Dublin based tech organisation, right up to setting up her very own marketing agency. Since the foundation of KC Communications, Katrina and her team have been shortlisted for numerous awards, gained a Certificate of Recognition for their commitment to apprenticeships, and have recently been awarded the Eaton Smith Business of the Month award.
Prior to the event Katrina commented, ‘It is an honour to have been selected as the guest speaker at such a prestigious event out of so many local inspiring entrepreneurs. Having established KC Communications a little over 2 years ago, this is a testament to just how far we have come, and what we have achieved in such a small period of time. I am excited to be taking part in the event and providing an insight into my journey thus far, to help inspire a future generation of entrepreneurs”.
Commenting on why Katrina was chosen to speak at this prestigious event, Dawn Lightwood, BIPC Outreach Officer at Leeds Central Library said: “Katrina has shown how a different approach to marketing solutions for clients has helped the rapid growth of KC Communications in such a short space of time, as well as providing opportunities for apprentices and graduates in the local area to enhance and retain local skills & expertise”.
The event will also coincide with the Leeds Business Week, which will see brands such as Google, PWC and Emirates sending representatives to speak about their areas of expertise, and give attendees the chance to build new long-lasting working relationships, which will be a great chance for Katrina to promote KC Communications to some of the world’s most reputable business leaders and their businesses.
There live Twitter/Video Q&A available between the sites during the evening can be accessed by following #InspiringEntrepreneurs on Twitter from 6pm on the 18th October.
