Our workplace culture is really important to us at KC Communications, so much so that we recently won the regional Chamber Awards Workplace Wellbeing Award for the whole of Yorkshire and the Humber! We strive to be an ethical marketing and PR agency that adds value for our clients, and helps them grow and reach their goals. We are a Huddersfield-based business, with team members that are entirely located in West Yorkshire, meaning that in true Yorkshire fashion honesty and integrity are at the heart of what we do.

Each member of our team receives a culture book upon their induction that covers six key themes of the KC Way.

Challenge and excite

We thrive on challenge and excitement. Whether it is a detailed marketing strategy or a complicated web design, our team will take up that challenge enthusiastically. Our work in marketing services generally excites us and this can be seen in the quality of our performance and the results it produces.

Work-life balance

There is no such thing as a perfect work-life balance. As a PR and marketing agency, we understand that we may have to work late or on weekends and go above and beyond for our clients. At KC Communications we recognise this and we encourage our team to take advantage of flexible working hours and we offer the chance to do life when needed. This results in a happier team and stress-free work environment that feeds into the work that we do.


The KC Communications team has a wide and varied skill set. From digital marketing to public relations and everything in-between, our team of account managers have it covered. This means that, although you will be assigned a dedicated account manager, you will benefit from the combined knowledge of all our marketing and PR practitioners. We share ideas at the start of each new project to make sure that every team member has contributed. We love to pick each other’s brains!

Communication and feedback

Amongst the team and with our clients, we don’t hold back and we are not afraid to share what feels uncomfortable. We have regular team meetings and frequent one-to-one meetings with peer mentors to make sure that we are sharing information with each other. This helps us collaborate on our clients’ projects with ease.

Dealing with change

Change is constant, especially within the marketing and PR industry. Almost every day there are changes to the way that social media marketing and search engine optimisation works. With the advancement of digital, sending a press release today is a very different process to five years ago. This means that the KC Communications team are constantly learning to keep on top of the latest trends to ensure we get the best results for our clients.


We love to celebrate! Whether it is winning an award for a client’s marketing campaign or team member or client birthday, we like to shout about it. There is nothing like a celebration to boost mood and morale and we often invite our clients to join us. Successes should be shared!
